Daniel “Mack” Hiden

Daniel "Mack" Hiden began rowing in his sophomore year at Vero Beach High School. During his junior year, Mack took 4th place in the Men's Junior 4+ at the State Championships. The following year, he lead his crew to another 4th place finish in the Men's Varsity 4+.

After graduating in 2018, Mack attended Stetson University on a rowing scholarship from 2018-2019. During his time there, he finished 3rd at the FIRA championships and 4th at the SIRA championships.

Mack left Stetson to return to his high school team as a coach in 2019. He spent his first season with the middle school program and took on the high school novice team in January of 2020. He spent his second year coaching middle and high school as well as masters. In the fall of 2021, Mack became a Varsity Assistant and helped send the largest group of rowers to the National Championships in club history. In the fall of 2022, he was put in charge of the Men's High School Freshman/Novice team, and became a Men's Varsity coach the following season.

Mack also earned his Personal Training Certification in March of 2022.
